WELNET® is a web-based software used to assess fitness and health through a collection of modules. WELNET® enables educators to measure the five components of physical fitness, check for understanding of fitness and health concepts, and track health related habits and behaviors.
Modules may be added at any time to your system. See below for more information about each module.
FITNESS MODULE is the only customizable fitness database available and is aligned with the Five for Life curriculum. The type and frequency of fitness measurements and goal setting are fully customizable to meet each client’s program needs. The fitness measurements required can be different for Elementary, Middle and High Schools. In addition, students can login to set goals and view their fitness measurements. WELNET® provides historical data and a variety of reporting options for students, parents, teachers, and administrators.
VIDEO LIBRARY MODULE consists of over 800 videos in the following categories: Exercise Movements, Fitness and Health Academic Content and Motor Skills. Teachers are able to create video playlists and assign to their classes. Reports are available that indicate what videos were watched by who and the percentage of the videos that were watched. These fun and engaging videos help students to understand concepts at a deeper level and master state standards.
BEHAVIOR LOGS MODULE compiles student data to demonstrate how daily choices and behaviors affect activity, nutrition, sleep and hydration. Tracking information in these categories provides a well-rounded look at how student behavior affects overall health. These entries lay the groundwork for identifying patterns of behavior to encourage or correct. Students can monitor their own personal behaviors and assess how they can maintain or improve those behaviors over time. This supports the development of healthy habits and the creation of individual fitness plans providing a tailor-made approach unique to WELNET® and the Five for Life Program.
ONLINE LEARNING MODULE contains Five for Life Student Portfolio Series 1 and 2 as well as online courses Physical Education Level 1 and Level 2 to support student understanding of health and fitness concepts. It’s easy to use format includes unit guidelines, vocabulary, key assignments, formative and summative assessments and community outreach opportunities. Teachers can choose course length, order, content and assignments and can establish prerequisites and availability. Students can access with any internet-enabled device. The module allows teachers provide a flipped classroom for students to allow for a deeper understanding of health and fitness concepts without compromising activity time. In addition, teachers can provide online courses for credit recovery, summer school programs or online academies.
BRAIN & BODY BOOSTS MODULE consists of over 160 videos built to provide safe, developmentally appropriate physical activity for children ages 3-18. Videos have been developed to work on muscular strength, muscular endurance, cardiorespiratory endurance, flexibility and brain challenges.
